Digitale Produktion und Plattformen
- Cataloguing and metadata creation: If you wish to digitally edit ZB collections, we will create the necessary core metadata and, where applicable, further item- and project-specific details at the individual item level.
- Access to the GND authority data web form: As an editorial team, you have the option of independently entering GND authority data on individuals and institutions via a web form. We’ll show you how it’s done.
- Digitisation of the collections to be edited: Our digitisation centre digitises internal and external collections if these have not yet been scanned for your project.
- Full-text recognition / Automatic Text Recognition (ATR): We create machine-readable full texts (HTR/OCR) from your digital source documents (handwritten or printed). In addition to layout and word recognition, we offer proofreading of the automatically generated raw texts on request.
- Further text and index tagging in Transkribus and/or Oxygen: We are happy to share our expertise to help you tag other text features, such as underlining or strikethroughs, in Transkribus and/or Oxygen. We also create index entries for people, places and the like.
- (Assistance with) developing the editorial model: We are happy to assist you in establishing the editorial model, which sets out the guidelines according to which the texts are to be transcribed and annotated.
- Training in the tools used: We offer training in the use and operation of tools such as Transkribus or Oxygen. This enables you to work on your edited text in a targeted and efficient manner.
- (Assistance with) planning and setting up the front end, including publication: We contribute our expertise to the design of the front end and to clarifying questions regarding diplomatic transcription and the reading version, the display of digitised material, the various index functions and search options in full text and the index, etc. We can also take care of the technical set-up and publication using the TEI Publisher app.
