Working at the ZB
With a staff of around 240, we are a significant employer in the centre of Zurich. Most of our people work predominantly in library-related professions, but we also have logistics, technical and commercial staff.
Conditions of employment
Our staff are subject to the employment conditions and remuneration system of the Canton of Zurich.
We offer flexible and family-friendly working models for full-time and part-time staff on permanent or fixed-term contracts. We attach great importance to ongoing education. We offer training courses for external stakeholders and also train apprentices (I & D Specialists). Every two years, the ZB also offers two fixed-term positions for scientific librarians linked to completing the MAS/DAS/CAS in Library and Information Science.
