If you would like to donate books or other media to the Zentralbibliothek, we will be delighted to hear from you! Unfortunately we cannot accept everything.
Your gifts to the Zentralbibliothek
We are always grateful to receive gifts that fill gaps in our collections. Your gift can help our library grow. The basic rule is that we accept gifts of items that are not in our collections but are in line with the library’s collection strategy.
How it works
If you would like to donate books or other media to us, please contact us using our online form. Please indicate what you would like to donate to us so that we can process your offer as quickly as possible. As soon as we have received your enquiry it will be assessed by our experts. We will then let you know whether we can accept any of the items you have proposed as a gift.
Please note
We are not able to accept any gifts without prior consultation. We therefore reserve the right to dispose of such items as we see fit. We regret that, for reasons of cost, we will not return any gifts.
Considering a larger gift?
If you wish to donate a large volume of books or other media to us, please contact us as early as possible, so that we can carry out the necessary additional enquiries. All large-scale gifts must be made on the basis of a contract.
